PROJECT SUMMARY:

This building when acquired, had 1 residential tenant, who happened to be the Curator/Executive Director for our great Kenosha history Center! (see links), A new rubber roof, along with new thermo-pane (3 over 1) design, windows were installed, along with new heating & air conditioning on both floors. The upstairs which was once 2 apartments were combined into 1 large unique residential space. It has a large skylight in center, and has retained much of its original vintage look. The 1st floor was gutted and updated with all new electric, oak floors, new lighting, etc. TTHe old exterior facade aluminum canopy was removed to expose the original ornate metal work above the front entrance

CURRENT USE & AVAILABILITY:

The space is currently occupied with a unique with a wonderful local dance studio, Sixth Ave Arts. The space is filled with talented local dancers. The upstairs residential unit is occupied.

Built in 1912, this building has housed quite a number of various retail businesses over it’s rich past.
