This 1 store, 8,000 sq. ft. building is right in the middle of Kenosha’s Main Street, (now named 6th ave) A former Walgreen’s drug store, that has been transformed into 3 individual storefronts. Each storefront is approx. 2,700 sq. ft, with high open ceilings. All new electric, heating & air conditioning, floors, lighting, etc. Great centralized location.

PROJECT SUMMARY:

This building when acquired was vacant. The building was a former Walgreen’s Drug store, that sat empty for several years after Walgreen’s relocated to a new drive thru facility south of downtown. There was such little demand in downtown for such a large box store, so it made sense to divide into 3 good sized storefront spaces. Two exciting new businesses agree to relocate their existing businesses into the building, Flex & Burn, a personalized fitness training gym, and Donna’s Gymnastic’s. Each business was built out with all new electric, heating & air conditioning, ADA bathrooms, lighting, flooring, storefront, etc. This project was a great example of a practical reuse of an existing big box.

CURRENT USE & AVAILABILITY:

The North storefront and finished basement are occupied by Flex & Burn Fitness. This personalized fitness is owned and led by Gus Harris, who provides exceptional training and guidance for all aspects of personal fitness.  He has been in this location for over 8 years!  The south storefront is occupied by Donna’s Gymnastics. Owned & led by Donna Gunn-Newkirk, who has been providing gymnastics at this location for over 9 years! The center space is available!

HISTORY OF THE KENOSHA MAIN STREET BUILDING:

The building was built in 1962, in post 50’s modernism style. It has no historical significance.
