A wonderful victorian 2 story corner ruby red brick building with views of lake and harbor. What a gem, this Vintage building, has been transformed into a unique space that now houses; The Modern Apothecary. The building is 5,732 sq. ft, with parking in rear. A beautiful example of victorian architecture with an ornate metal cornice design.
This building when acquired had been vacant for over a decade. Despite it’s great corner location it took several years for an interested prospective tenant to come forward. The Modern Apothecary had the vision and desire to want to bring this building back to life. Restoring the building was a touch task, as the overall structure required reinforcement with 12 in steel I beams. Two new heating & air conditioning systems, new rubber roof, new ADA bathrooms, new electric, oak flooring, and an entire new storefront facade. The 2nd floor is open. The adjoining lot to the north, is planned to be additional parking, but cost effective permitting has been an issue.

HISTORY OF THE KENOSHA MAIN STREET BUILDING:
The building was built in 1902. It is, perhaps, the best standing example from the Victorian area for a commercial building remaining downtown.
