AT A GLANCE:

Great retail storefronts! Downtown Spirit is a highly visible location fronting 56 street, facing the streetcar line. It has two (2) unique storefronts both new in 2014. These spaces have lofted ceilings, custom concrete floors, and all HVAC, bathrooms, electrical, plumbing, etc. There is public parking 30 to the east, and another across the street. There are also 3 dedicated tenant spaces in rear. Great, center of town location!

PROJECT SUMMARY:

This building when acquired had 1 office tenant , who subsequently went bankrupt! The exterior was removed, and a new double storefront installed. The entrances have lots of natural light. All new “everything” was installed, such as; new rooftop heating & air conditioning units, new ADA bathrooms, ADA auto opening entrance doors, new electric, and plumbing thru out, and new custom concrete floors. One of the project challenges was the natural sloping of 56th street to the east.

This wonderful building is now home to two exciting go-to places for food & drink!  Swede’s is a family-owned “North Woods” atmosphere bistro.  Ono’s is an exciting new Pacific fare & sushi restaurant.

HISTORY OF THE KENOSHA MAIN STREET BUILDING:

Built in 1952, this building does not have any historical significance, but is a wonderful example of a “before & after”.
